About

AUTHOR'S JOURNEY

Dajia Ann Collins is a writer and poet whose work is rooted in the quiet mythology of southern Louisiana. Her writing explores femininity, longing, nature, and the emotional landscapes we inherit.

Born of Southern sensibilities and shaped by a deep reverence for storytelling, Dajia draws inspiration from the divinity of nature. Her debut book, Girl by the Bayou, is a lyrical exploration of devotion, transformation, blending poetic prose with folklore-tinged romance.

When she is not writing, Dajia can be found horseback riding, golfing, hiking or listening to French music, often drawn to moments of quiet reflection and movement. She believes stories are not meant to be rushed — only felt.

She currently lives in Roswell, Georgia, on the outskirts of Atlanta, and is at work on future projects that continue to honor voice, beauty, and emotional truth.

What Readers Are Saying

“There is something sacred in this book. The prose is lyrical without excess, romantic without cliché. Girl by the Bayou feels like folklore remembered rather than a story invented.”
